π EVENT WRAP-UP: Pink Ribbon Side by Side Ride
β
Total Raised: $5,000.00 for Breast Cancer Research!
A massive THANK YOU to everyone who prepped their rigs, bought raffle tickets, donated, or cheered us on at our recent Pink Ribbon Side by Side Ride. Thanks to the incredible generosity, energy, and passion of our members and local community, Paw Paw Eagles, Aerie 4310 officially raised $5,000!
β
πΊοΈ Where is the Money Going?
When it came time to decide exactly where these hard-earned funds should go, our leadership and trustees wanted to ensure every dollar would make the maximum possible impact.
We have proudly chosen to donate the full $5,000 to Bee Brave, in support of groundbreaking breast cancer research at Van Andel Institute (VAI).
Here is why we chose this incredible cause:
-
100% Direct Impact: Bee Brave operates with an inspiring promise: 100% of the funds they raise go directly to funding breast cancer research at VAI. Every single penny from our ride goes straight to the lab benches to fight this disease.
-
Keeping it in Michigan: The Van Andel Institute is a world-class, independent biomedical research facility located right here in Grand Rapids. Our money stays local, supporting brilliant scientists working tirelessly in our own backyard.
-
Focus on Prevention & Detection: VAI’s researchers are studying the molecular origins of breast cancer to figure out why cells mutate, how to stop them before they spread, and how to create personalized treatments for patients.
-
Shared Grassroots Spirit: Like Aerie 4310, Bee Brave started as a community-driven effort fueled by passionate volunteers. Their dedication to turning hope into action perfectly mirrors our motto: People Helping People.
π£ What's Next?
We have already reached out to Bee Brave to coordinate the next steps for transferring these funds, which will be finalized in the coming days.
Thank you again for your generous monetary contributions and incredible effort in making this event such a massive success. We are doing more than just riding—we are helping find a cure!
